Where It Started
Sports culture is quick to celebrate what happens on the field: the wins, the records, the championships, and the moments of glory that make headlines around the world. It is far slower to recognize what happens behind the scenes, where women of color remain significantly underrepresented in sports management, coaching, sports medicine, marketing, media, and leadership. Not because of a lack of ambition or talent, but because of a lack of access.
Minority Women in Sports was founded to change that.
For over six years, we’ve been building a community and a pipeline, connecting women and girls of color to the mentorship, resources, and opportunities they need to break into and grow within every corner of the sports industry.
